BSE Riding Academy is affiliated with Black Star Equestrian, a premier Hunter/Jumper barn in Orange County. The Academy was developed by our trainers to assist the rider in advancing their Horsemanship Knowledge. We strive in Teaching Responsibility and Reward.

EVALUATION LESSON: $60

Every Academy Rider starts with an Evaluation Lesson which serves as an introduction to BSE Riding Academy and Black Star Equestrian. The student's riding abilities will be evaluated and a personalized program will be designed for their individual goals. Each evaluation lesson takes between 45-90 minutes depending on age and experience.

PRIVATE LESSONS: $70

Private lesson on an BSE Riding Academy horse or pony. Lessons are 30-45 minutes long depending on experience level. 60 minute lessons can be arranged at time of scheduling. Riders will learn all aspects of Horsemanship from grooming, tacking and riding to include Walk, Trot, Canter and Jumping depending on student's abilities.

GROUP LESSONS: $60

Group lesson on an BSE Riding Academy horse or pony. Lessons are limited to 2-6 riders to ensure safety, riders must be at same level. Lessons run 45-75 minutes long depending on experience level. will learn all aspects of Horsemanship from grooming, tacking and riding to include Walk, Trot, Canter and Jumping depending on student's abilities.

ACADEMY PACKAGES:

4 Lessons: $260

8 Lessons: $440

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Lessons must be scheduled in advance. 24 hour cancellation notice is required to avoid charges. Standing lesson spots will be made available after third missed lesson unless discussion with trainer made prior.

BSE Riding Academy and Black Star Equestrian have a select number of small and medium ASTM Certified helmets for use during your lesson. Please check availability on sizing. Long pants and closed toed shoes required around the horses.

Academy students should invest in their safety. Helmet, half chaps, paddock boots and gloves should be purchased within a reasonable amount of time. Kristy or Haley will assist you with your purchase.
